This women's-only shoe has a detached upper that floats freely at the arch. While it gives the Adidas Men a stylish appearance and many wearers are likely to sport it casually, the shoe delivers big performance. The design of the stretchy knit lets the shoe hug your foot like a sock yet still delivers a stable ride—it's tacked to the midsole at the heel and forefoot. The extra-soft layer of Boost provides comfort for longer runs than our testers found previously in the thinner, more minimal PureBoost X.


The Buy Now UltraBOOST X was designed and crafted to fit the natural form of a woman’s foot. It provides a comfortable, sock-like fit while pinpointing exactly where the foot needs the most support while running. The redesigned upper sits atop the popular UltraBOOST tooling platform that features Continental rubber and the Torsion system.

The UltraBOOST X is made with adidas Primeknit which essentially wraps your foot for an adaptive arch support. It feels like you’re putting on a sock. There is a floating arch - which looks really cool, hah - but, it’s really there so you get the closest fit to your arch instead of securing it to the sole of the shoe. They really thought of everything.

In order to perfectly support the shape of a woman’s foot in movement, the three-stripe brand has decided to use ARAMIS technology. This is a system in which cameras and sensors are used to create optimal running analyses. With these 3D movement analyses, adidas has been able to identify specific parts of the foot that need a particular amount of support, stability or mobility while running.
